Have you called police to your home? Why?

Years ago, I called the police around 2am because I heard something that sounded like someone trying to open the front door. I was really scared. The police came and checked around the house and then he stayed outside to make sure we were safe. Nothing happened after that and I felt secure.

Not to my apartment, but to my building. I thought there was a fight going on, but it turned out to be a panic about half of a group getting stuck in the elevator. I've also called the fire department for a gasoline spill in the bicycle shed, and an ambulance when my father could hardly breathe while visiting him.

@NerdyPotato and not exactly called them, but I went down to the precinct three times in two months to file a report about theft when the charger of my mobility scooter was stolen from its locker repeatedly. The landlord installed a second lock on it and that prevented a fourth time, but the thief was never caught.
