how to solve this communication problem

i get times in the problems of ' expression', where i can't think how to get my point over to the person i'm talking to, i know what i want to say but can't think of how to say it or of a way to say it and my words won't formulate or won't come? it's a frustrating problem......my elderly mother and other loved ones have had the same problems in their lives as well...
