What seems worse, thinking no one is

ever stupid as you sometimes...OR encountering someone actually stupider and having no idea how to be safe from him??? (or her of course)

@Ohplease47 In my opinion, the bigger burden may be the feeling of isolation stemming from self-doubt.
This internal struggle can limit personal growth and relationships, feeding a cycle of negativity that’s hard to escape. When you're alone in your thoughts, everything can feel magnified, leaving you feeling stuck.
