How is it professional for a state governor to say IDGAF because of how he feels?

Maryland Gov. Wes Moore addressed criticism of his redistricting plan during a national television interview Tuesday.

Moore was featured on NBC’s “Meet the Press NOW,” where he was asked about the ongoing federal government shutdown and his redistricting plan.

When asked about criticism from a Washington Post editorial regarding his stance on redistricting, Moore said he could respond with five letters.

“I can respond to the Washington Post with five letters ideas, IDGAF, but I can tell you this: When I’m thinking about what it means to have fair maps inside of the state of Maryland, and knowing that our people’s voices should be heard, that is actually the reason that I put together a bipartisan redistricting commission.”

Basically he wants to redraw the state's maps so that there's no Republican representation in Maryland. He wants to do this because of Texas redrawing their map. But when I heard him say this on the news, I don't understand how you can be a governor and use acronyms like that. It shows to me just how unprofessional he is. He could have said it a different way is all.

At work we are allowed to have one earbud in, and we can listen to anything we want. What I listen to is WBAL, it's a news radio app on my phone and I get Maryland talk shows and news because in my state, we don't have this, and for the most part it's just filler, but if some event happens, it's covered on this news program. The one thing I like about it is that they don't talk politics all day long. If my state had something like this, I would listen to it. There is a news program but it's 99% political and I'd rather hear local news over national politics.
