Is it weird if your partner forgets that you know their friends?

Like you've hung out with them, went to their wedding, yet your partner still thinks you don't know who they are?

Doesn't really sound like something he's forgotten if you've been around them in more than one occasion. Sounds like a way of controlling perception.
