We downsized to a 1446 sq. ft. condo with a garage...we had looked at one that was 1205 sq. ft., but felt that was a bit too small for our comfort zone (didn't think that the layout helped, and it didn'thave a garage either).

My last house was 800 sq feet, it was nice and cozy. Recently moved to a bigger house but kind of miss the charm of the little one.

Maybe a studio apartment. I don't think it could be smaller than that because I have a collection of books and I likely will want to be living with one other person.
For me certain things are more important than the size of the living space, though, like having access to an outdoor space.

The place we live in now is fine.. i just have too much stuff.. it’s the stuff that needs more space..
We live in a 14x24’ shed that’s converted to a tiny house.. but we have a 12x24’ addition on the back that is unfinished and currently used for storage space and laundry

I cant imagine smaller than where we are. But we are spoilt for space in a city home. Not the biggest, but big enough.

I'd say 1,400 SF with a 2 car garage and a nice patio.

My place is a one bedroom. It's pretty small but it works for me and my cat.

I don't have a lot of stuff and I live alone, I can live in a 400 sq feet place as long as it's a quite environment.
If I had to, I could live in much smaller place than now and so could everyone else. As for comfort? I guess that depends on the individual…
O idc i can live anewhere but rn is the smallest room ive had but its my own room sooo i cant complain! The biggest room i had was a YMCA auditorium hahah does that count thou

@TryingtoLava That is a big room LOL yes it counts
I once lived in an abandoned van in a wooded area. That was fairly comfortable.

I think I could do 500-600 sq ft when I’m old and retired and living a Thanos post finger snap existence
Tastyfrzz · 61-69, M
A queen sized bed.

If I was solo, I’d be fine with a studio apartment. I’d minimalize the crap out of everything though.

Anything less than 1000sq feet is barbaric. Hence why I hate my apartment
SlippingAway · 46-50, F
@MethDozer How small is it?
