I think he probably does love you, but his way of loving is unhealthy and it doesn't fit YOUR needs (or many people's...)

He sounds very narcissistic and he will have to go through a lot of help and self growth before he can love people in a healthy way. And he likely won't

A lot of people think they know what love is, but they don't actually. It's possible he does love you, it's possible he doesn't, and it's possible he has no clue what love is. I am sorry :(
