What criteria do you use to ascertain trustworthiness here?

So many older people are either communicating or at the least adding you, I presume do that when you post it is raised on their feed. But if they then say they have hopes for you to be “friends “ here, how do you ascertain if that will be a good thing?

If you have good gut instincts, I’d trust those. There’s plenty of opportunities for interactions and banter in the forums, so I don’t really initiate any DM’s or the like.
