It was Las Vegas for me, too.
But the reason for my trip was to take bus tours from my Vegas hotel to the Grand Canyon, Bryce Canyon, and Zion National Park.
Believe it or not, I did not gamble even once.
And I was aghast at how expensive everything in Vegas is, at least in the vicinity of the strip. And how garish the architecture is. People talk about the "old Vegas" when you could find great deals on food and the casinos were sedate and not over-the-top. But the old Vegas was run by the mob!
