What was the rest of the story?

Have you ever happened to somehow end up listening to just the brief end of some story and you have no idea what the rest of it was before that and you always wonder about it? You know there has to be more to it.

For example today there was an older man with a white beard riding an old bmx type bicycle he was talking to the driver of a car that was parked at the fishing pond parking lot where we were at (park in town). As me and my daughter walked up to our vehicle we overheard by accident the man on the bike saying to the driver in the car "so yeah, I was telling her that since she's only 18 she must not have much experience with.....". I don't know what was said after that and I really can't imagine what he might be talking about. I would assume its something boring and common?

Another time, again with my daughter, we got in our car to head to town. We start going through radio stations to find something we like when we hear the radio say "I was on a boat that day". It was said in like an old timer type of twangy southern accent maybe kind of way. The radio kept scanning and we were like "What was that?" We tried to go back to it and find it but didn't find anything. It was so random without getting to hear what went with it. Now we joke about it and use it as an excuse sometimes to momentarily avoid taking responsibility for something. Maybe this is a family ADHD thing. We get reminded of something we forgot and we respond with a weird phrase of "I was on a boat that day?" Makes sense to me anyway.

I think I'm stressed and ran with this post to relax. Sorry if it doesn't make sense. I'm taking a break, a real one.
