Yes most podcasts fail. Think of how low the bar of entry is for a podcast and recognize that you are entering a very crowded market with a ton of other people always trying to make podcasts.
You'd need something to make your podcast distinct and something people will want to listen to. If you can't talk about the subject matter because of NDA then it's a better question of...

@Sarafamily That depends largely on your premise and format for the podcast, right. It's about identifying a gap where there aren't a million podcasts doing the same thing, and ensuring there's an audience.
