It would hurt regardless but it would hurt more if they didn’t you give you any explanation. So I’d rather know why.

The action speaks for itself - we were never friends to begin with.

A friend does not just dump, ghost, etc you.

It sucks either way. I've found there's a shelf life for all but the rarest friends

There is no one size fits all to that answer. Each case is unique.
@LadyBronte yes indeed!

What if I was in the wrong? I’d rather know. We don’t always see ourselves in the same light as others do.

If I wasn’t wrong, it’d be easy to dismiss. If I was wrong, it’s time for some corrective action/reflection.

If someone dumps me, I tend to wonder if they were really a friend. But if that's the case I would want to know why!
Friends come and go. Some are out of my life years at time
I recently had to dump some friends but glad I did..cause after I told them the reason all they did was gaslight and block me. 🤷🏼‍♀ it can show a persons true colours.
@Wallflow3r It sounds like your feelings are ambivalent…but if you were hurt by their actions, I’m sorry.
@NoGamesTolerated Exactly I felt gaslit by them constantly so I felt there was no proper way for me to act or feel but I am glad that they are not in my life anymore it just wasn’t healthy.
@Wallflow3r Feel better. No one deserves that.

I would want to know however @CookieCrumbs makes a valid point.

If you're doing something wrong, you need to know to correct that 'wrong'
@BigGuy2 yep… that’s how adults ‘should’ behave!
