Which one of these can influence your feelings more?

Well my friend! I am an art lover. There are some paintings which can put me in tears, and there are poems, which when read by a good voice, can take me to heaven. I love Music. A note, or melody can stop me and make me sit on a chair in the middle of running for life. And by viewing a sculpture, I can stay quiet thinking for hours.

However, the combination of two (cinema) can take me through pain and then heaven (like the Mirror by Tarkovski or Mouchette, by Breson) .

So please let me not choose as it won't be a thorough answer.

Maggimay, this gives me an idea. Pls set the scene, combine all the senses. ?

Setting a scene

Secluded beach with beautiful green lush mountains around it. The beach has white Sands and crystal blue waters. A round table placed on the beach where the water occasionally touches. Table set with a platter of soft fruit. Champagne on ice and 2 beers in ice frosted glasses. The sun is about to start setting. Table behind has a small docking station where an iPod is connected busy playing a cheesy song
Aruba, Jamaica, ooh I wanna take ya
Bermuda, Bahama, come on pretty mama
Key Largo, Montego,
baby why don't we go,
With a light breeze that fills your nostrils with exotic fruit and sea air

Almost all your senses seduced in one way or another. Maybe not the song 😂 but that can be changed as the remote is lying on the table. Just one sense not used. That's for later

Icanandwill: I used to think the same way, but after living in apartment where the neighbors would clog the sewer lines and raw sewage would come up in the tub and sometimes overflow...I'm thinking an outhouse is not all that bad, honestly...or I could adapt and do with a compost toilet.

Icanandwill: I miss it a lot...I'd be willing to live that way again...and we didn't have indoor plumbing...had a water well by the front porch and carried buckets inside for our water...I'd make an exception and put a hand-pump for a well at the kitchen sink but the rest of it I think I can live that way.

Yes, we always had a cookout, made onion burgers on the grill and homemade ice cream...had a lot of dairy cows and that's how we got our ice cream...

I was not raised in the farm, but we had farms and my childhood is full of farm memories too, climbing up olive trees

Ditto Patti, that is what I am talking about and the way I grew up too.
I miss it sometimes. :(
But great memories. :)

Uh Patti...thinking I might want an indoor toilet, lol.

But I do miss the farm.

That is difficult to answer. Although, I do veer a little more to the songs. There are certain songs that touch me deeply, because they are very resonating, or I know that they were favorites of those I've lost. As there are paintings that can take me places I've loved. And, one of those I've lost was a painter. I have one of his pieces hanging in my home. Hard to choose. My emotions are affected my many sides.

Certain smells take me instantly back to childhood.

Icanandwill: I know what you mean...I was born on a farm and when I smell some of the foods that we used to cook (homemade bread or rolls and fried chicken) it brings me back to the farm....just imagining the screen door opening and slamming for the men to come inside and wash up and sit down at the table for lunch after working on the harvest

What about smell?

Maggimay, you are perfectly right there.. A song can make you emotional in a sec, but sometimes seeing a striking scene or a smelling a beautiful smell nails a memory in your brain..

Music manipulates my emotions in a greater variety of directions. Art consistently creates excitement and wonder regardless of what I'm looking at.

Out of those two. Definitely a song.

But a scent. That smell, of something, of who, of where.... *inhales* it stays with me forever. It's like a time travelling machine.

If fact Patti, you just took me back. This weekend we would be making the first batch of homemade ice cream, hand cranked.

Both can do it but a painting, especially of nature, would be more powerful to me

@gallantio yes if its concept is sad like a man and a woman hug each other with both knife but the woman use here left hand to cover his back neck so if she stab him still the woman would be hurt first thats how she loves her man
