User info on posts

I’m new here, but it seems that beside posts it shows users’ pictures, ages, and genders.
Why do you think some people on this site decline to share their age?

My age is hidden because it's just my preference. Has nothing to do with not wanting people to know. If I'm talking to someone and they ask I'll straight up tell them. My user name when I first signed up, had my age after the Becks, people argued that wasnt my age. Like i was lying about being older. Hell, if i was going to lie it sure wouldn't be about being olderlol
