User info on posts

I’m new here, but it seems that beside posts it shows users’ pictures, ages, and genders.
Why do you think some people on this site decline to share their age?

@SW-User do you consider age personal? Personally, I don’t and I’m interested what makes age feel personal

@chocolateNcheese It's an identifying piece of info. If, for example, someone wanted to stalk me, one way they could identify me is by age. Also, people judge by age, as well. Age discrimination is a real thing.
