I Have a Question

These days when people say they are really bored, it really bothers me. Should we be even consider ourselves bored in this era of internet with so many things at our disposal? I think boredom is a lack of resourcefulness and short attention span. What do you think?

Some people say they're bored and ask others for advice on what do to next. They accept input from others on what might be a fun activity/website to look into. I don't really feel bothered when people say they're bored.
Also, sometimes I'm bored because I have half an hour or so, and I don't want to immerse myself in an activity that I can't finish before my free time ends, so I imagine that some people experience this situation as well.

possibly. but with all the techs around you and internet at your disposal, there is always something to do. Imagine 2 decades ago, kids could entertain themselves with ball or something for hours.

I think it's pointless if a person simply cries that they're bored, but it's another thing if they ask people on the internet from all over the world on advice on what to do. Doing this can lead them to discover new activities/websites to broaden their perspectives.

@hiddenkitty: you are right about that. Maybe it would be better if people would ask for advice rather than saying I am always bored.

For me, feeling bored is a sign of being really really tired!

Yes a lot of people get easily bored these days.. they lack composure and alignment to a particular thing.. or area of interest

Right on. Need to find their interest.

I think you are right, but it comes from a deep seated emptiness that has not been filled.

You are onto something.
