Did your parents prepare you for adulthood?

Did you talk about budgeting, bullies, racial discrimination, sex, taxes, etc? What subjects did your parents teach you and what subjects have you taught your children as they are growing up?

My brother and I were latchkey kids since our parents both worked. We pretty much had to look after ourselves. We didn`t do without food or a roof over our heads. Money was very tight.

@Degbeme my mum was pretty much a stay-at-home parent while my dad worked and until they had a business and during those times we had someone else to attend to us.
