I know this is an unusual question, but is it ok to recreate my 5yr old's birthday cupcakes?

Just so that us as a family would have a family picture taken with her blowing her candles? Because it was my friend in the picture when she did it and I was the one taking the photo. I think my friend overstepped a bit at that moment.

I don't need violent reactions, please. Just as a mom, I keep thinking about this and I can't get over it.

Stepping back from how you feel sad about the photo - the most important thing here is: did your daughter have a fun birthday?

If she did. Then you achieved the optimum thing: good memories for her. And for you .
Its one of rhe best things a mum can hope for . You did good.

Arent these what matter most ?

A new photo wont change her great memories of a fun day, and a terrific mum who made it happen .
