I know this is an unusual question, but is it ok to recreate my 5yr old's birthday cupcakes?

Just so that us as a family would have a family picture taken with her blowing her candles? Because it was my friend in the picture when she did it and I was the one taking the photo. I think my friend overstepped a bit at that moment.

I don't need violent reactions, please. Just as a mom, I keep thinking about this and I can't get over it.

If that makes you happy and your kid doesn't mind, go for it! For me it wouldn't work, but to each their own.

(I use photos to trigger memories and this plan wouldn't remind me of their birthday, but of having a second batch of cupcakes to stage a photo.)
@NerdyPotato i was wondering about how ud get round it with a kid.

My daughter is 21 now. And shes told me she hated when her relatives made her stage a photo .
Even so young, she knew what was happening, and that it wasnt for her , it was for them .

Kids are smart, smarter than we think.
