I Have a Question

Can a person they said no when you asked them out...end up liking you over time or no?? She said no becuase she didnt wanna date anyone at the time and had a child hood friend she liked. We both were dating other ppl but things...just didnt work out. We have a strong connection and everyone is always telling us to get a room or kiss all ready. But were just close friends now even through i love to try dating her..am also fine with the way things are.
