I honestly don't really know. Personality is a fuzzy concept I think. Some people like to make it really simple, "I am a teacher", "I am interested in reading" and "I try to always be honest and dependable to other people that trust me".

Then we have the different theories about personality, one of the more popularized being the Myers-Briggs test which combines the result of four scales with two "opposing" tendencies.

Those things can give you a rough estimation of who I am, but nothing can ever really predict me in every situation.

So what is personality? Maybe it is just an idea that we have to make sense of other people and ourselves.

I'm pretty sure people online have a similar spectrum of opinions on me and my personality as people in real life.

If there is one role I do not enter into very much online it is as a teacher. But even when I am being a teacher irl I tend to go for a pretty socratic method and open discussion with problem based work rather than long monologues so it's not that much different from talking about science or philosophy online.
