im not sure if i would even toy with such a proposal it seems im destined to encounter every single negative opportunity anyone before me has never even considered but for the sake of the a question i would see to it an animal rescue haven would be formed, supplied, and manned to be successful and permanent

I would start locally. Clear debts for school children, feed the hungry, provide free continuing education and childcare for low income families, etc.

If I had the means to do so, I would probably move nearer to my family, and buy a good sized house with enough acreage to provide a foster home for cats and dogs.

I have already sorted out my kids with a good education, there first car each and been there with a hand when it was needed. Job done. From here on I focus on preserving their inheritance and not being a burden. Also looking good.

I would roam around the world. Stay in Arctic region, Antarctica region, experience 24 hours Night and all.

And then leftovers for the people who need things.
