How important are political views to you? [I Question]

@SW-User I used to love hearing other people's thoughts on politics, now it's depressing.

@Notanymore I did as well .Most people I have talked to about this seem to be on one extreme of either party and they can get nasty if you don't agree with either side . I consider myself to be neither Republican or Democrat..both parties are as bad as each other . I give up . I am too disillusioned.

@SW-User yeah. I haven't voted in my life, simply because, I haven't seen a candidate that I'd be willing to put my good name behind.

@SW-User it seems counter intuitive, but, I believe the system is broken.

@Notanymore The problem is we have a two party system ...that's it ..and it's like a dog chasing it's tail ..we never really get anywhere ..we just go in circles ..

@SW-User and the issues seem to be divided so awkwardly that you have to vote for the lesser of two evils.

@Notanymore ugh...I am not a black or white thinker ..I don't think in absolutes...they is sooo much gray ..
There is no one who represents that to me ...I am a liberal but I don't identify as a Democrat...so,take that for what you will

@SW-User very understood. As literally speaking, I have very liberal views. As in, a person is free to make their own choices. Yet I find myself completely opposite of politically liberal views on many issues. I also get confused about the arrangements of conservative viewpoints....

@Notanymore It all can be confusing. I look at it this way ,I am simplistic..I do think we all have basic needs that need to be met and if they can't be met then someone needs to step in and take charge to make sure everyone's needs are getting met * food,shelter,medical care ,school, * I am pro paying taxes because without them everything would be private and cost a fortune. If the taxes are going to help the public then the taxes are doing what they are supposed to do. ..we need them for programs to enrich our youth to help the poor. Etc ..etc ..

@SW-User understood, and I agree with that fully, I've just seen the imbalance of the systems personally.....and think that the polits is holding progression and necessary reform back.

@Notanymore I have a cousin who has never voted. I don't blame her one bit. As for myself, I am disgusted with both parties.
