I have a friend she is in the process of separating from the “love of her life” she calls him. Says it feels like he is a “part of her” or it feels

Like they are “one whole”, or she “has always known him” or it feels like. I don’t know what to tell her. Any advice for her? She says its “impossible” to separate from him. I have no idea. She has tried this before like 100 times, and always went back to him

It's kinda hard to say without knowing her/their relationship.

Is she going back because he's abusive? (Like Stockholm Syndrome)

Sometimes people think they're losing a part of themselves because it (in their mind) justifies why they can't leave

No he has never hurt her physically, not that. I know of at least. It just looks like a too intense relationship. I told her before to calm the hell down and not react to emotionally to every little thing he does. Im getting tired of listenning to that @JupiterDreams

@Nobody00 Ooh, ooof, I gotcha 😥
I imagine it's like losing a part of your body. You experience phantom pain but nothing is actually there. Although she will always miss him and want to be with him, she needs to remember why she chose separation. What she truly desires with him isn't actually there. If it were she wouldn't feel the need to leave now.

They have broken up before she even met someone else...and wound up going back to him@midnightrose uuuuuugghhh...Im so tired of the whole thing...but I can’t just leave her to deal with it alone. So , I still listen to all that whining
