@2diccks They don’t need subliminal messages. People are already programmed, the music itself puts them in the mood to spend. A college student where I worked once showed me a lot of things she bought at Target, she went crazy shopping. After she’d got back to the dorms & out of the shopping environment she told me “I don’t know why I bought so much stuff...I’m taking half of this back to the store and getting a refund.” No holiday music playing in her ears in the dorms so she came back to her common sense.

@cherokeepatti You're absolutely right. The music gets people thinking about the holidays and they start their holiday prep, planning, and purchasing.
@SW-User People who are emotional spenders especially. They get the warm fuzzies when they hear the music, it brings to mind good holiday memories & activates the part of the reward center of their brain when they buy gifts & holiday items.
