I agree with ya, marsandbob. The focus on the first few dates should be on getting to know one another to see if there's a person there to form a friendship with. Our culture puts a lot of emphasis on sexual chemistry....because that's what sells movies, magazines and TV episodes. But I don't think that this is 'realistic' or even 'real' life. Even the hottest kind of prairie fire sexual chemistry where you are both so overcome with sexual lust that you do it within 90 seconds of seeing each other....well, even that kind of ardor cools when you eventually find out something about the person that truly bugs the hell out of you or you just want something new. So, deary, classy dress or skirt it is!

Ok, how about a compromise? For a casual date like dinner and a movie, how about a jean miniskirt with opaque tights underneath. The tights could be fun like barber pole red and white stripes. Now, if that doesn't get a chuckle or two, then he probably doesn't have a sense of humor...which in my book is a very good thing to know!

With the weather warming up, I wouldn't hesitate to wear a miniskirt. I think a skirt hem at mid-thigh height is within the norm for looking nice without looking suggestive. I would exclude micro-skirts, of course, and figure hugging skirts, the stretchy kind that emphasize the bum. A-line, kick pleats, and accordion pleated skirts are very cute. Well-toned legs and knees not overly knobby are a must though whatever the short skirt style. Otherwise, wear a dress that is at least knee length.

That's right Annie. If you want a relationship of substance, you have to get to know each other first. If sex comes into the picture too quickly, it sets a different tone. But if it's just a FWB relationship or a one night stand situation, then be as provocative as you want in your attire.

Nope its a bad move... there's a chance that the guy will be more interested in your personality than what you wear but unfortunately the greater chance is that he will think of you in purely sexual terms. Theoretically you should be able to wear what u like but unfortunately double standards still apply and many men would fork a girl who dresses sexy but wouldnt want to be more than that with her..
