Wash it myself every time it's dirty. Wax it when it needs it. Clean and detail the interior also when it needs it.

Agree to a certain extent. I have an SUV that takes forever to wash, dry & wax. Need to stand on the huge tires just to wash the top of it. It's a frigging all day job. Then the following day I notice bird poop on it. Argggggg!

The roof of my SUV is the toughest. And yet I always think of truck drivers that can see my roof not shining.
With a good wax job though it's not too hard to spray off. But the waxing takes me a short step ladder now. It's an age thing LOL
