@ sunshine, but at the bottom of the page that comes up when you click on the bell there is a number that tells you how many notifications you have had since you got your account.

only 1 because when I see it it annoys me so click on it don't necessarily check them all out but it makes the annoying number go away. :)

4861. But i stop receiving notifications on any topic that goes over 40. No idea how many i might have if i didn't do that.

IamDave, but you can stop receiving notifications on any topic if you find your notifications are piling up
