I can fight to the death if necessary, to protect my loved ones. But if I must fight for a lover , I'd rather let it go. If I have to fight, is it worth having? Who and what am I fighting? And what's the prize? Someone who didn't want what I was offering?

@bijouxbroussard: thanks.
@bijouxbroussard: I agree
great POV... I hadn't read it like that... now that I'm think'n that way...how would a person "fight" to get somebody else to favor em?

As hard as I can... I only stop once it starts to damage me.

When someone will only accept you if you fight for a place in their life, you will eventually learn this. So I might as well tell you now.
No matter how hard you fight to be a part of their life, they will put you in a place where you don't belong. Even though it likely isn't where you should be.
And there is where you will remain. Unhappy.

I guess I figure we fight the battles for which we've been armed... fight for their health and welfare... fight, if it's in you heart, for their good benefit.

Until you are defeated
Not at all.

I can fight really hard... but if they are fighting me it comes to a time to just let go. It is a fine line between a fighter and a creepy stalker that just won't let go...
