I Have a Question

Homeopathy is utter nonsense.
Fact.
Now, like many you are probably under the impression that homeopathy involves herbal remedies and that sort of thing.
This is not true. Homeopathic preparations contain nothing but water or sugar and (possibly) a few stray molecules of the "Active ingredient".

Also, it has NEVER been shown to have an effect beyond placebo in any robust scientific trial.

.... but the placebo effect is documented and real.. If it works,use it. If you don't think it's going to work, don't bother.. simple.

The placebo effect is more a bias than an actual effect. It's more perception than reality. It can be helpful for things like chronic pain where perception is pretty important.
But guess what? That's not nearly all that homeopathy is prescribed for. It's used in place of treatments that could actually do some good.

@UnparalleledMonster: I've never had it, but if I want it, I will try it. I expect that if I do, it will be in desperation because mainstream treatments haven't worked...

@walabby:

Yup. Desperate people cling at any scrap of hope they can.
A characteristic that homeopaths are only to ready to exploit.

@UnparalleledMonster: You are probably right...
