Let me give you the good and bad about going to prom

The good thing about Prom is everyone try to look his best, have fun with other people. The after party, and the great memories you will have.

However, the problem with going to prom is that shit can happen, most probably will. Lots of drama, literally a lot of drama. People may talk behind your back. Fights and insults can happen between groups. Someone may start to dislike / despise you for god knows what.

You may not even go through all these experiences. I don't know about your school and the people around you. But prom & bullshit are bestfriends.

Of course, you can always leave. But if you picked a date, would you be ready to ditch him if something goes wrong?

I just shared the very basics. You'll either have the best night ever or the worst night ever.

I just hope you'll have a great time, whether you went to prom or stayed at home :P

Well I've been asked by a couple of guys but since I haven't made up my mind yet, I didn't tell them anything. I should probably decide by the end of the week because it wouldn't be fair to them if I kept them waiting-it's possible that they would end up without a date if I didn't tell them my decision in time. :)

Nope, I was part of the "hip, stoner crowd" who would have never want to be seen at something so uncool as a prom. Looking back now, should of gone.

@Mahjack Thank you for writing this! I just realized how prom is definitely not my thing! I could put up with that for one night but there's no point, of all them maybe I'll keep in touch with one , eventually two people. I'll invite some friends (not from school) over and I'll just have a nice time with them or I'll just pretend like it's any other night and just do the things I usually do. :)

@CarlMarcus That is actually pretty cool. Far better than prom if you ask me. Well my prom should be at the end of this month and I'm still thinking about whether I should actually go or not. I would rather just stay at home binge watching South Park because I'm not really in a mood for celebration and I only like 30% of my class. I think that one day I might regret it though.

@noymyfaultyournotoriginal it was in 2014 so now it's ok^^. It was just a simple party, I mean not like the traditional idea of proms. We didn't envite girls to it, we didn't wear prom outfits etc... It was a simple party, outside and some people that were there weren't even from our school.

I had a graduation party, just like CarlMarcus. Loved the experience. As for prom, you have to attend the prom with a date and things happen there. I know a lot of people who avoided going.

So do you have a date already? x)

@noymyfaultyournotoriginal I think you should go, if you don't want to regret it, you can always go back home if you don't like it. I don't know, surprises can happen sometimes.

No, I never went. It wasn't the sort of thing I was into and I certainly didn't want to waste money on going. It is also probably because I did not have a date or a girlfriend, lol.

I didn't have a prom, I had a graduation party, it was terrible lol, it was outside and it was so dang cold that day. I went back home very early that day.

I did not go to prom. It felt awkward to even consider the thought back then. I kind of regret missing out on the experience.

So you hate the most of them :P Don't think about prom so much, screw prom. Just have fun your way! 😎
