I Have a Question

[image deleted]Any one know what these critters are?
[image deleted]We just moved in. JUST moved in, and We wake up to this.
If anyone lives in the Ft.Smith Arkansas area and knows about renter rights laws, lemme.know what can be done.

We moved from So.Cal. to Arkansas. First rain fall.we had, ... B O O M! Tree falls right out of the Earth, right across our place - had to move.
This is our second month in Arkansas, second move, second near disaster.

(The larvae is just the tip of the ice Berg.
The owner rented us a place with a.stove that works sometimes, and air conditioner foul with filth in the filter, scratched up floors, f&$ed walls floors ceiling, roaches, and various bugs, gaps in this door and window jams so.big, we can enjoy the out doors with the doors and windows shut.
Some.of the electric sockets work, some dont
Still love Arkansas.

can’t tell the size but is there any carpet in your house?
Groofydorkgerdo · 56-60, M
@NiftyWhite There is not, just crappy ass fake, stained, scratched up but hard wood flooring that was f#$ed up before we moved in.
(Please excuse the potty language)

ok cause i used to have something like that in my house many years ago - it was carpet beetles. they can get into furniture too but it’s not very common.
Groofydorkgerdo · 56-60, M
@NiftyWhite We don't have much furniture. Just A bed, a few dining room tables, and a spare memory foam mattress.

@Groofydorkgerdo and you’re in a house? not an apt?
Groofydorkgerdo · 56-60, M
@NiftyWhite A duplex.

@Groofydorkgerdo hm. well. i got beetles in my house when i lived in a condo with 4 floors and many units. not sure if they were there when i moved in or if i acquired them somehow later. at the time i had carpet so they had a lot to thrive on. if you don’t have any carpet, even if someone else connected to you did, i can’t see them hanging out where you are.

carpet beetles are little black bugs that hang around baseboards or near light sources like windows. they tend to show up in may or June but you can find their larvae anytime, usually in dark places like closets or under baseboards. i don’t think that’s what this is by what you say.

try bringing a sample to an exterminator - they can usually identify it on the spot.

@NiftyWhite My in-laws are coming g with STRONG pesticides, (stuff isn't available in stores, not even to every day, run of the mill exterminators.

@Groofydorkgerdo id get the pros. honestly. without knowing what kind of insect it is, it’s hard to determine how to treat an infestation. it’s a little like going to to a doctor. if you have a chest infection you need an antibiotic to kill a lung bacteria - getting a drug for a vaginal infection, while still a drug, isn’t gonna be useful - especially if you don’t even have a vagina.

@NiftyWhite My son-in-law is a pro, he does landscaping for the Ft.Smith military something or another. That's where he is getting the stuff from, providing, his boss can get a release for it.
