Do you think members here genuinely care about others or do you think that everyone is out for some selfish motive?

I agree with what most have said; that there are both kinds of people on here. I come here as an escape from reality, to have fun, but I also genuinely care about the friends that I interact with on here; the ones more than mere commenting here and there of course.
