I Have a Question

How long does it take to learn German(c2 level of fluency)? It doesn't seem like a very complicated language to learn to me.

C2 level of fluency is something that takes years upon years of practice. You can fairly quickly get a decent overview of what German's like in about a few months of enthusiastic studying (so, basically B2), but C1 and C2 are only achievable through a lot of work and actually using the language often.
German's not that of a complicated language, but it does have some rather peculiar quirks to it. For example, the genders of words are very important and there's no rule to them - you simply have to learn them all by heart, since the genders actually play a very large role in sentence structuring. If you want to be grammatically correct, there's no other way. However, since it's so similar to English the words themselves are quite often relateable and therefore are easier to remember.
