Why do females or males lie to get what they want? They should tell the truth and maybe we will give you what you want.

Totally agreed. Nothing is a turn off (in every sense of the word) like a lack of honesty.
Maybe it's just bad math? Maybe they think that if they lie to enough people fast enough, it'll somehow even out, and they'll get what they want. This obviously isn't the reality, but some people don't think very well.
