I let my guard down, and because of that my heart hurts.
I know in the long term it's for the best. Right now though it's painful. My head won the battle (which logically it needed to; it should have won) and the heart just needs time to heal.
I told myself not to get emotionally invested so I have no one to blame.
I told myself not to do this again.

Your right, just keep being there for her, and when you feel the time is right then tell her. But you don't want to wait too long either.. Good luck hope it works out for you.
