Planning to get Moderna Covid19 vaccine this coming Wednesday but having second thoughts now. How was your experience with the vaccine? [I Just Wanna Say This]

#cold feet #hate needles #side-effects can be scary too 🙇‍♀️

I got my shots 😅
Good luck to you

@Miklee02 don't forget to keep getting your booster shots

I know personally someone younger than me (23) with no comorbidities whatsoever, who contracted covid, almost lost both lungs (anyway they're scarred for life, if he's lucky he has a 25% capacity left), liver and both kidneys.

Trust me, better the shot, from a probability of adverse effects standpoint (in the order of <1:100000 for the shots, ~1:16 for the virus to leave you with potentially lifelong issues).

@Elessar Thanks so much for your kind and encouraging words. I appreciate it.

I was absolutely terrified so I know how you feel but it's the best protection we have against both covid and long covid, if you get covid after vaccination it halves the chances you'll need to be hospitalised and almost completely removes the risk of dying from covid so the horror of needles is well worth overcoming for your own protection.

I've had both my jabs no problems with either, a sore arm is a very small price to pay for the protection it gives you.

@AntisocialTroll Thank you so much for your kindness and reassurance. I appreciate it.

first was just pain in the arm. second was flu like symptoms for 5 days. if it means no covid it's worth it

@saragoodtimes from what I understand is it doesn’t guard against it , it just keeps it form being so severe

Haven’t had 1, and I don’t plan to get one for awhile. But you do you. Whatever you think is best for your health and peace of mind 👍🏻

The nurses will reassure you if you have a problem with needles.

@jackieash Thanks for your kind words. :)

It was no problem at all for me
Tinkerxbell · 41-45, F
@DavidScott I'm so glad to hear that.

I haven't had the vaccine yet as for now it's only available to those above 60 years of age here. We don't have the Moderna vaccine here, but we do have Pfizer, Johnson and Johnson and AstraZeneca. Those who have had the vaccines tell me that they experienced few if any side effects.
Tinkerxbell · 41-45, F
@basilfawlty89 Thank you. It's a big relief to know your friends didn't experience severe side effects.
