Do you really believe….

…that it’s appropriate, and even plausible, to promise someone you love that you’ll never hurt them? Don’t we, as humans, just naturally hurt those we love???

*no, I’m not going through a pain like that, I’m just speaking my weird thoughts aloud….

Actually, I think it is good to acknowledge that we [i]will[/i] hurt each other.

But there is a difference, as I see it, between hurting someone due to carelessness, misunderstanding, or even selfishness, versus consciously hurting someone out of sadism, revenge, or "I'll teach them a lesson!"

@DrWatson Agree. Promising never to hurt someone "deliberately" is much more realistic.
