There’s a difference between vitamins, minerals, and medicine.

@Powderflask but all are in same form which is pills

@Wateribbon yes but my point was that a lot of medicines can’t be replaced by food. There is no vegetable that prevents epileptic seizures.

@Powderflask hmm noted Mr. Biotech..

@Powderflask Maybe not but my daughter had seizures and started craving eggplant when she was about 14 years old. I had gotten a coupon for a free eggplant from a grocery store. She kept asking me to buy them....up to 3 large ones per week and she was cooking it stewed as in a Chinese eggplant stew. I did a little research until I found what eggplant had in it and it has an anti-seizure chemical in it. She kept taking her medicine but her seizures lessened greatly both type and frequency till she got weaned off the meds by the time she was 17. I have to wonder if there are other foods that might help and maybe if several were eaten in a meal or the same day they would have a syngeneic effect.

@cherokeepatti right and I’m not claiming that there aren’t some natural chemicals in food that are helpful im just pointing out the difference between medical treatments and a healthy diet.

@Powderflask a healthy diet can prevent a lot of chronic health issues and even reverse some of them.

@cherokeepatti yes some. And I’m not trying to be bitter I was born handicapped, practically living in hospitals. I grow mint and some herbs for herbal remedies. I believe it can help with some minor ailments. Pain relief, stomach discomfort, etc. but when I’m experiencing grand mal seizures and spasms there isn’t an herbal replacement for diazepam. Brain damage exists, spinal cord damage exists.
