I don't know I think people feel the same way about man buns. I had long hair before buns wherever the thing I would wear a ponytail and I mean I got called faget and stuff and I really for the most part just brushed It Off if you want to be unique or different in any way you got to be willing to put up with shit. I think part of wanting to be unique and different is the willingness to be confrontational.
