I Wonder

I wonder why it is hard to remember the exact time when we realised that lies could be useful to get what we want, and that adults often lie and break promises and do not feel bad about it.
Isn't it one of the most important days in our lives?

It is in school as a student that I see rules and moral values are still taught and applied. I wonder why they teach us that when in the working world, I see the ones with low cunning getting their way. Not the ones with high vision. Yes. You are so right. sometimes I think if it is foolish of us to even believe truth and goodness still exist in such a fallen world.

@novembermoon it is only the low-cunning individuals who get caught. Hence we think it's only low-cunning folks getting away with some of it.

@novembermoon We need to believe in honesty. There are many who still believe in honesty, but they are the less noticed

I am on the opposite side of the spectrum.

All humans can fail. All humans can be brought to lie.

All lies are not bad.

The neighbors who lied to the Nazis so a house would be skipped... was that so wrong?
