I Wonder

I wonder why it is hard to remember the exact time when we realised that lies could be useful to get what we want, and that adults often lie and break promises and do not feel bad about it.
Isn't it one of the most important days in our lives?

i never really grasped that idea as it requires cunning I do not possess.
Seems to be the best outcome could be a win loose.
Honesty offers win win outcomes.

@sogdianrock I agree. I mean the moment in our childhood we realise in adults that promises can be broken, and lies can be told, and they feel natural.

i had a childhood in which I considered consistency and honesty to be highly valued and so again no I did not experience the moment you describe.
