Why?

how could i believe in something that does not exist?

@youkai: What is your proof that God doesn't exist?

- there's no evidence of god's existence
- there's no evidence of paranormal phenomena
- natural phenomena can be explained by science
- evolution happened
- some of the parts in the bible are arguably copied from egyptian, greek and persian mythology and lore (suggests the bible is just a bunch of old and newer ideas thrown together = god is an idea, nothing more)
- some of the stories in the bible are unrealistic and full of contradictions (god made a snake trick adam and eva into eating from the tree of knowledge = it was god's will to make humans sinful by nature?)
- god betrays his image: he loves you but will throw you in hell to suffer for an eternity if you don't believe in him and repent for your sins. he loves us but gave us war, poverty and disease. he loves everyone but not homos (why did he create homos then?)
