@BelaTattoo: There used to be a club in 'New York' by the name 'Mafioso' in 1930's. Members only, specifically Sicilian Mafia!...The club was wrecked by Police in early 1940's. A vintage nightlife historian mentioned that the club featured the best smooth Jazz music of then!...WOW!...I love classic stuff!...:)

@BelaTattoo: The truth is in that period there was a lot going on in America. Multiple socio-economic issues like the great economic depression, brutality of KKK, corruption in law and order authorities and etc. Thus, young women preferred dating Mafia men rather working class fellows because they were better in terms of protection and social status!...Such women were also the supreme targets of FBI when Mafia had to be controlled for the sake of nation's rebuilding!...:)
