To do what?

@SW-User change channels or whatever. I nodded off in my chair and the TV channel changed from the local news to another channel. Did it this morning too. And if it matters I am using an Ipad with a wireless keyboard. So could I have touched some keys on this remote and switched channels. The TV remote is nowhere near me. Maybe I should have asked if other devices such as a wireless keyboard be used to switch TV channels etc

@cherokeepatti could be you’re the victim of AutoTune

@cherokeepatti I mean it would be possible to reprogram a tv remote but it would more than likely have to be taken apart to be flashes.

I would suggest it is more likely you changed it inadvertently. Why would a hacker with that much talent go to all that trouble just to change your tv station. They would more than likely just empty your bank account.

@SW-User I have no idea but this is at least the second time it’s happened. The remote is about 10 feet out of my reach.

@cherokeepatti it could be that a neighbour has the same remote as you

@cherokeepatti depending on the cable or TV system, you can program it to switch channels to desired programs at desired times.
@SW-User I'm thinking that the frequencies that the remote and the keyboard operate on are similar enough that they are interfering with each other and causing the TV to act oddly.

@HootyTheNightOwl could be.

@HootyTheNightOwl It happened when I dozed off, have the iPad and wireless keyboard on my lap facing the tv. I don’t know if I touched some keys are what. Happened at least twice now
@cherokeepatti Try it again while you are awake, preferably from the same location in the room. You want the conditions as exact as possible to the last time that it happened to see if you can recreate the same event.

@HootyTheNightOwl I have no idea what keys I touched when it happened.
@cherokeepatti You might be able to figure it out by playing with the keyboard, though.
