does anyone else find this a bit annoying online

someone commenting ' lol' to something which isn't funny? i made a comment on a history video on youtube about the battle of hastings 1066, and some girl replied to my comment with something irrelevant to the video and put ' lol' at the end?

i don't like that,i never like that in fact, it comes across as being silly or stupid and nothing to do with the video subject matter either, so i just ignored her comment, but found it annoying too.
