True.I block people who write material I find objectionable. That way there is never a problem with them choosing to post their adult stories without checking the box.

In many ways this site and the internet is a big library. No way to read everything, so skipping the ones I have no interest or are offensive does more to send it to oblivion. Blocking or responding is often the reaction they want only empowers those authors.

Being ignored is a far harsher punishment.

I used to object to some of the stories people wrote, things about incest and such stuff. But I am one voice. I made no difference, so from then on, I just blocked each one as it reared its ugly head.

When I blocked people, it was usually long before I was on their radar. First sign of what I prefered not to read, I just took them off my book shelf, to run with your metaphor.
