Being sued by my parents
Being disowned
Being disinherited
Mother, sister and father all died (at different times) without me being told. I learned about all three weeks after the fact from random people offering condolences. They were each unaware that I didn’t know someone had passed nor had I been invited to the funeral(s).

@Adogslife Good! That's the best outcome you can ask for!

@Wiseacre I expanded a family business. When money and ownership became an issue, I left the business and went out on my own.
They sued me and lost. They sent the IRS after me and failed. When they lost the ability to control me, they disowned me.
The disinheriting was just a way of my father keeping my mother’s wishes from the grave. She was a narcissist. She hated losing.
That’s the simple explanation. It’s also what keeps me strong and happy. If you can beat that, the sun tends to shine on you.

When I was 16 I worked at Burger King and one time I accidentally poured the hot fries on this girl I worked with's arm, she started crying and I felt so bad 🫤

@MyNameIsHurl Awww...so sorry.

I think about this regularly the last few years. Probably hearing someone tell about how they were suicidal in grade 6. It's been on my mind ever since
LadyBronte · 56-60, F
@Justafantasy Oh my. What a thing for a child to overhear. That's really sad.

@LadyBronte it was at summer camp. I don't think they told grown ups and I have no knowledge or memory as to why. Just the concept stayed with me. Still looks like an escape

@Justafantasy 😟

My marriage. But if I could delete it I would be deleting my beautiful son, so he was worth going through it.
