I’ve noticed women are more attracted to men who smell good than the other way around. Women’s sense of smell, I think is stronger men definitely tend to be more visual.

@Rpfun78 Hmm... this could be true.

Yes, but when I told my husband that my girl friend said that I smell good he said she was hitting on me.😂

what do you do when you don't like the smell of their perfume ?
@BridgeOvertroubledWaters I regret to recant, not saying anything is a lie too. Depending on how close I was to the person wearing the toilet water, like family, I would tell them that they stink. With someone that I barely know, I would bite my tongue.
Friendlyperson · 26-30, F
@BridgeOvertroubledWaters Well I'd just stay silent. At least they're having perfums and smell well.

Perfumes and colognes bother my lungs. I do not like smelling them. They are supposed to be subtle. Many people soak themselves in them. I never compliment on them. Too smelly. I do point out that.
Friendlyperson · 26-30, F
@PoetryNEmotion Well I'm not talking when people soak themselves. I'm talking about that subtle refreshing fragrance.
PoetryNEmotion · F
@Friendlyperson To me there is no subtle. It triggers my asthma. People do not consider smell sensitive people. That is the problem. What is okay for you is too much for me. I stay away from anyone wearing it. And I do point it out to them verbally. I have also refused to have relatives or friends of patients enter the rooms of the people I am taking care of. That is my right.
It's much better to hear that you smell good, than to hear that you stink. So yes, it's a good thing to hear, to which I respond with a thank you.

I can't handle perfume but this girl at work got me hooked on something she wore so I bought it in the lotion & it's flattering to be told I smell good 🙂

Yess
Think it’s flattering and kind unless you make a habit of going around sniffing people. 😄
Friendlyperson · 26-30, F
@OlderSometimesWiser Haha, usually it's just there when we hug. Good remark tho 🤣
PinkMoon · 26-30, F
Very flattered.

It depends ...if the say it with a surprised face...then I don't take it as a compliment 😜

If they are sincere sure, women probably don’t compliment or support each other enough. I worked with an older woman who could wear any perfume or cologne and it would smell gorgeous on her. Even perfumes that I absolutely hated on anyone else including an Avon cologne that nearly turned my stomach when someone gave it to my daughter to wear. I told her many times that she had a gift to be able to do that. The ironic and sad thing was that she had a chronic sinus infection and had to have surgeries to get rid of it. She lost her sense of smell completely and couldn’t enjoy her perfumes any longer. But it didn’t stop others from giving them to her for gifts and it did make her feel good when she got compliments.

It’s really good to hear this.

Nightwings · 31-35, F
I usually ask people what perfume they're wearing if i sincerely think they smell amazing haha, but I wouldn't comment on it more than once with the same person.
