AthrillatheHunt · 51-55, M
@popmol it’s like having the answers to a test in advance. I prefer the unknown .

Future.

@ninalanyon how come
ninalanyon · 61-69, T
@popmol The general trend over the last thousand years has been an improvement in the lot of both ordinary people and of those who are not ordinary, those who stand out from the crowd.
You don't have to go very far back even in supposedly liberal European democracies to find a time when someone like me would not feel safe being themselves in public. And of course one need not go back in time at all, just visit anywhere in the Middle East, Russia, the less cosmopolitan parts of Poland, large parts of the US, etc.
So I'd rather take my chances on a possibly better future than on a definitely worse past.
